Within the next few weeks there will be an election, and as with all elections there will be differing opinions on all sides. “ ” ?

But before you vote, maybe you should take a look at The Isle of Man Active Travel Strategy! “ ”

“ ” Few members of the public are aware of the contents of this Strategy and even fewer were consulted on it.

“ ” The Strategy dictates that your Government aims to prevent a large percentage of car journeys on the island.

As the Strategy takes further effect,

to stand in queues EXPECT waiting for the bus, on a rainy evening.

“ ” to pay a huge increase EXPECT in your motoring taxes!

“ ” EXPECT to be unable to park where you want, or need to.

“ ” the roads to be EXPECT even more difcult to use, with even more road signs making absolutely no sense whatever.

Before you use your vote in electing your MHK ask them how much they know about the Active Travel Strategy, are they in favour of it? and would they be prepared to challenge it?
