TONY OWENS

Tony George-Owens began his performing life from the age of 7 years old, where he joined the Kinder Children’s Choirs of the High Peak based in Derbyshire. He performed all over the country, abroad in France and Germany wi th many compet i t i on and

He went on to study Performing Arts and Cheadle & Marple Sixth Form College, and even per formed in the world amateur premiere as the lead character Lyovchik in the Vassily Sig arev play ‘Black Milk’. Despite the passion and the drive for the arts in 2008 he decided to enlist in Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force. In 2016 he decided to take up singing lessons to see the standard he was currently at after over 10 years of no vocal training. He was invited to teach at a school and also gained his Grade 8 and D i p l o m a i n M u s i c a l T h e a t r e Performance from the London College of Music within 6 months. He also became involved in local musical theatre productions, such as ‘Rock of Ages, ‘All Shook Up’ and ‘Our Day Out’. In 2019, prior to the pandemic he decided to take the plunge to go professional. Birdsong in Bedlam was one of the rst auditions he attended, but due to the pandemic halting all performances, has yet to make his professional stage debut. He hopes that his non-stereotypical route into the world of entertainment helps inspire others that either feel underqualied or haven’t been to drama school, so that they can also achieve their goals if they work hard and are passionate inwhat they believe in.

Nathan Kayn

Training as an athlete Nathan developed an interest in the arts late, beginning his training at eighteen years old. Starting out as a dancer, he went and trained on the undergrad degree in contemporary dance at Trinity Laban. Following this, h e r e l o c a t e d t o b o t h Birmingham and Liverpool to achieve his Degree inMusic and Master's Degree in Dance. He

Sophie Yaeger Sophie received her professional training in Acting from HB Studios NYC and in Musical Theatre from The New School for Drama, NYC and Guildford Sc hool of Acting.

Having danced since age two Sophie has been an active participant in all areas of performing arts for over three decades. Some favourite projects include Alice (This Life! The Musical), Kate (Titanic the Musical), Charlotte (Pride and Prejudice) and 1st Messenger (The Birds). As a vocalist Sophie has embodied both the roles of Frida and Agnetha in UK and European tours and can be found singing regularly all over the UK in various bands and productions. When not performing Sophie spends her time as a vocal coach and singing teacher and has taught in NYC and the UK. She is currently studying towards her MA in Professional Practice Voice Pedagogy. Sophie is a huge supporter of new theatre and was once a regular singer/actor for Tisch School of the Arts musical theatre writing program while living in New York and is grateful to now be originating the role of Morana in her home in North West England. Her guilty pleasures are episodes of Project Runway, The Food Network and Kinder Eggs!

Drew is a multi-award winning actor, his peers describe him as a natural method character actor and has a bow with many strings. It’s wonderful to be part of this brilliant stage show, he says.

THERESA FULWOOD

A classically trained musician, Teresa began learning to play the violin aged 4, initially following the Suzuki Method. She also plays ukulele. Singer-songwriter based in Stockport. Accompanied herself on ukulele while singing, as part of her role as The Beggar, in Gare du Nord Theatre Company's production of The Beggar, The Suitcase, and The Wind, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2019). Celt Warrior Queen in Boudicca: First Brittania Queen, in the Greater Manchester Festival (2019). Performed (soprano) with Sing Live choir, and as a solo singer, at The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. (2007-2010) Teresa's other performances include singing on board HMS President (moored on the London Embankment) and Manchester Cathedral, and winning several awards playing the violin in the Royal Leamington Spa Competitive Arts Festival in teacher who has left teaching. She is now following her passion for performing arts and is thrilled to be involved in this production.

Michelle is an ALRA graduate and has been performing since the age of four where she trained in several forms of dance, classical singing and part icipated in several choirs. Teaching and directing shows froma very young age, she has also taught in South America and the USA R o l e s i n c l u d e : T i t a n i a (Midsummer Night’s Dream), Rose (Ada), Elizabeth Gaskell (Hearts , Hands and Cake) , Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet), Clare Graham (Ewan McColl’s Landscape with Chimneys), Hamon (Antigone) and Abigail Williams (The Crucible). Directing credits include: The Wishing Well (Kings Arms), North West Wonders (BAPS Theatre), To Old Trafford, My First Love and Me (ALRA/Kings Arms), Top of the C hops (Manc Made Festival at 53Two).

David i s a London born, Manchester based actor who has his roots in improv comedy. Having taken part in musical s t r ee t t hea t r e wh i l s t i n London, David moved up to Manchester and has featured in a range of productions. Having worked with comedy sportz, immersive theatre (downpour) and educational programs (data saves lives). David then trained with ICAT and Simon Trinder. He has featured in stage productions at the Lowry ( _the Crucible_, _vinegar Tom_) as well as appearing in lmed productions (_gentleman jack 2_). He also has a smal l YouTube channel which he is currently building into a place which can combine his love of music, comedy, dance and drama. You can also nd David on stage regularly with The Take That Show, where he appears as Mark Owen.

Megan is a recent graduate from Shockout arts. Without dance Megan quite simply wouldn’t be the weird and wonderful creature she has become.

Her mantra is “be yourself, you’re awesome”

Alice trained at Paul McCartney’s prestigious Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts where she gained a BA Honours Degree in Dance. Alice has recently worked on music videos, lms, and TV and is about to make her debut performance choreographing Birdsong in Bedlam!

Connor is currently training at Wilkes Academy. Connor has worked with choreographers such as Leanne Pinder, Barbara Evans, and Paul Domaine and is more than ready for musical theatre debut.

Jessica is currently studying for her BA Honours degree in Musical Theatre at The Hammond. Jessica has performed around the country including in her majesty’s theatre, Jessica is extremely excited to perform in the debut of Birdsong in Bedlam and “loving every minute of it”.

! LET’S DANCE

Isabel Wilkinson trained at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and graduated with a BA Hons degree in dance. “I’m excited to be a part of this musical and to be back on the stage”. Credits include: Brit Awards, Corporate Events, and Theatre.

Ellen trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, graduating with BA Hons Degree in Dance. Ellen has competed in many national championships and scholarships. Since graduating Ellen has worked in music videos, corporate events and theatre.

Graduate of Sydney’s Brent Street performing arts school, Emily is no stranger to the stage, having represented New Zealand at Hip Hop Worlds and appearing on The Voice Australia. This kiwi can’t wait to make her UK debut.

Cameron studied dance in London, where after graduating he joined the cast of Mathew Bourne’s Swan Lake, which toured both nationally and internationally. Cameron is so excited to be making his debut performance in Birdsong in Bedlam.
